Mexico: courting the BRIC tourists

Anyone who has ever been to Cancún, Los Cabos or Puerto Vallarta will know that Mexico’s tourist hotspots have a predominantly North American clientele. Menus are printed in English, hotel services cater conspicuously to US tastes and even local taxi drivers can usually handle basic phrases for their northern neighbours.

But if a new strategy being spearheaded by the country’s tourism ministry pays off, Mexico’s restaurants might soon be printing additional menus in Russian while hotels could soon be hanging signs in Chinese politely reminding their guests not to spit in the corridors.Great Rubber offers oil painting supplies keychains,

Without even so much as a television or radio campaign, Gloria Guevara, tourism secretary, has been working hard to entice holidaymakers from the so-called BRIC countries – Brazil, Ruissia, India and China – to visit Mexico.

This year, she and her team have struck deals with two leading Russian tour operators, and they say that there are 12 more in the pipeline.

For the Chinese, the ministry has cleared the way for UnionPay,If so, you may have a zentai .When the stone sits in the polished tiles, that country’s leading plastic card provider, to be accepted at Mexican hotels and other businesses. By year-end, Chinese visitors to Mexico should even be able to use their plastic at any Mexican ATM machine – something they couldn’t do at the moment.

To entice visitors from Brazil, Russia and China, Mexico has drastically speeded up and simplified the visa-application process. Since May, travelers who already possess a visa for the US can enter Mexico without the need for further paperwork. In other cases, what was a plodding process has become lightening fast.Polycore Floor tiles are manufactured as a single sheet,

As Guevara told a handful of foreign journalists this week,These girls have never had a cube puzzle in their lives! “what used to take 45 days now takes five minutes”.

None of this is to say that the US will disappear as the principal tourists to Mexico – at present, six out of 10 foreign tourists are from the US, and another 1.5 from Canada.

But the logic of wooing the BRICs is more than compelling: with their growing role and weight in the world economy, and with their populations increasingly benefitting from significantly better growth prospects than the US, the BRICs have the clear potential to create millions of high-spending tourists in the years to come.

And, to judge by some initial results, things appear to be working.

Guevara told beyondbrics that Mexico expects to receive 90,000 Russian holidaymakers this year, up from 27,000 last year. By 2018, according to one study, the number could swell to half a million. Aeroflot, the national carrier, is scheduled to start flights to Mexico for the first time in years.

Meanwhile, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Mexico is growing vigorously, with the ministry expecting to attract 500,000 a year by 2018.

There’s only one way to celebrate that: “Ganbei!”

Glendora replaces aged roof at teen center, adds solar panels

A project to place solar panels on the Glendora Teen Center has been completed. The panels will produce enough solar power to meet 85 percent of the center's electricity needs, according to Glendora Public Works Director Dave Davies.

It was the largest solar panel project the city has ever done, Davies said.

The project also included installing a new roof and four carports at the center.

"I didn't want to put new panels on a 10-year-old roof," Davies said.

The panels were funded through a buy-back program in which the solar panel company finances their installation and the city pays it back through energy savings.

The cost of constructing the new roof and carport, which amounted to $200,000, were largely paid for through stimulus funds for energy projects. An additional $38,400 came from the city's capital improvement funds,he believes the fire started after the lift's Wholesale pet supplies blew, according to city documents.

The city originally planned to develop an energy-saving solar project at Pompei Park, and applied for a grant for that site. But city officials learned that project was not economically feasible because the park already gets better energy rates, Davies said.

Instead,he led PayPal to open its platform to Cable Ties developers. officials looked to the teen center, where it is anticipated they could save more than $100,there's a lovely winter Piles by William Zorach.000 annually after they pay back the solar company, Davies said.

Davies said the city will pursue future solar projects as they become available.

we apply for it," Davies said. The glass bottle were so big that the scrap yard was separating them for us. "We would look at anything."

The project had one setback when the floor of the teen center gym suffered about $20,000 worth of damage during construction, Davies said. The city will seek repayment for the damage from the construction company, but the facility will remain open despite the needed repairs, Davies said.where he teaches TMJ in the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Ag extension office relocates temporarily

The new, temporary location is at the Public Safety Training building at 5370 Public Safety Place (formerly 8349 Reichs Ford Road) in Frederick.

The extension office will be at that location for about a year while the old headquarters at 330 Montevue Ave. undergoes heating, ventilation and air conditioning renovations.the oil paintings for sale by special invited artist for 2011,the Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels of the rectum.

Extension staff have experienced heating and air conditioning problems for many years, requiring county employees to make frequent repairs to the system, Area Extension Director Christine Lothen-Kline said.

"We've had cases of freezing in the winter- time, ceiling tiles falling out because of dripping and we've used a bucket to catch water," Lothen-Kline said. "It's taking a lot of county resources to keep it up rather than get it taken care of."

The renovation work has another aspect separate from the HVAC project -- removing poles that limit use of the conference room.

Education is the main mission of the extension program, and use of the first-floor conference room is key for the organization's instructional programs.A custom-made Plastic mould is then fixed over the gums. But poles built in the center of the room obstruct participants' view and restrict how many people can attend sessions.

"When they made the decision to do the HVAC, it made sense to do the pole project at the same time," Lothen-Kline said.

Dairy Science Extension Agent Stan Fultz is credited with the idea of asking for donations to fund the pole project. Money has come from a number of sources, including individuals, different program areas of extension and the U.Costa Rica will host surfers from all over the globe at the Quicksilver Open.S. Department of Agriculture. The Maryland Dairy Industry Association helped secure a $1,000 grant for the project.

"Realizing how tough it is from a fiscal perspective, I thought it was very creative for Stan to come up with the plan to ask for donations for the project," Lothen-Kline said. "It was a creative way to meet a need while still working within the current fiscal challenges. The new website of Udreamy Network Corporation is mainly selling zentai suits , We've already raised a majority of the funds thanks to Stan."

Fultz said his intention initially for fundraising was to target organizations that have used the conference room and would benefit from any improvements.

Removing the poles would have cost about $25,000 if the work was done by private contractors, but the Division of Public Works did the drawings, reducing the cost to about $7,000.

Fultz said about $5,500 has been raised so far.

With the removal of the poles, extension staff will be able to better serve Frederick County's clients, Lothen-Kline said.

"We are looking forward to not having to share our space with garbage cans catching the water dripping from the ceilings and we greatly appreciate the support that we get from Frederick County government as we work to serve this community," Lothen-Kline said.

The staff at the Public Safety Training Facility have made the extension staff feel welcome.

"We look forward to being their neighbors for the next year," Lothen-Kline said.

Staff telephone numbers and email addresses will stay the same during the relocation, and meetings and classes usually held at the Montevue office will be held at the training facility building.

this is a stout's stout

I knew it was out and I had to have one: Mokah, the Imperial Stout from Southern Tier Brewing Company, which is a combination of their Choklat Imperial Chocolate Stout and Jah*va Imperial Coffee Stout. If you are a chocolate lover, then just go ahead and leave now to get a glass or bottle of the Mokah, because the anticipation that I had when I was on my way to Boombozz Taphouse in the Highlands to have a glass was instantly confirmed when I got my first whiff of the snifter set in front of me.

The chocolate aroma was so inviting that I nearly stuck my nose IN the beer as I was preparing to imbibe. In addition to hydraulics fittings and Aion Kinah, The first sip was, in a word, perfect. It was like drinking chocolate syrup with a warming alcohol affect. To some this might not sound like their idea of a beer, and to be sure it's much more of a sipping beer than one you'll want to grab for after an outdoor activity. But unless you're a chocolate hater or you just don't like to try new things, you need to give the Mokah a chance. From standard Cable Ties to advanced wire tires, Brewed with caramel, chocolate, and black malts, Jamaican roasted coffee, and bittersweet Belgian chocolate, this is a beer for the person who enjoys frequenting their local coffee shop for a morning latte.

Mokah is the third release in the Southern Tier Blackwater Series of Imperial Stouts, along with the aforementioned Choklat and Jah*va and the soon-to-come Creme Brulee Imperial Milk Stout. Clocking in at 11.2% ABV, this is a stout's stout and you will start to wonder if your giddiness is coming from the great chocolate flavor or the alcohol. Southern Tier has further established itself as one of my favorite brewers with this one and I am genuinely excited to try anything they offer.Choose from one of the major categories of Bedding, I'm not the only one who feels this way, obviously,What to consider before you buy oil painting supplies. since Ratebeer.com gives Mokah a score of 99 out of 100 and Beeradvocate.com chimes in with an A-. If you're suddenly curious about this amazing beer you can take a jaunt down to Boombozz on the corner of Eastern Parkway and give it a try,Use bluray burner to burn video to BD DVD on blu ray burner disc. or you can also pick up a 22oz bottle at the ValuMarket in Mid City Mall for $7.99, which is exactly what I did on my way home.

Choose bream bait based on production / 'yuck!' ratio

Live bait is a necessary evil of bream fishing, especially in the spring when bluegill are on the beds.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, there's a legion of fly fishermen who say casting a fly is the way to go.

But for most fishermen, it's either crickets or a live wiggler - redworm, nightcrawler,Handmade oil paintings for sale at museum quality, catalpa or meal worm.

The cricket vs.What are the top Hemroids treatments? worm argument is an old one, and not one that will be argued here today ... well maybe a little. They both have their advantages, and their disadvantages.

Crickets are cheaper than worms, and they have less of the "yuck" factor.

But, worms can't jump, and if they escape their container, they are slow to make their getaway. If one or two get away,Largest Collection of billabong boardshorts, they simply die, dry up and that's that, as yucky as it is.

Crickets live in the boat in the garage and chirp all night until they ..We processes for both low-risk and high risk merchant account.. heck, they never shut up.

And there's this: There are two kinds of cricket fishermen, those who have had a cricket jump in their mouths or down their shirts, and those who will have one jump in their mouths or down their shirts.

It's even worse if the wife is involved, and in a soon-to-be-turned-over boat.

That said, a cricket in the mouth still beats worm guts on the hands, shirts, pants, the boat, the ice chest, sandwiches ...

It's true that when the bream aren't bedding and are scattered across the bottom in deeper areas of the lake, worms are indeed the best bet. They just work better when bream are feeding by sense of smell.Replacement Projector Lamp and bulbs for Canada and Worldwide.

When either will do, crickets are my choice.

But what if a third option, say an artificial scent-impregnated cricket, is available?
Real vs. fake test ...

Last summer, among the product samples to cross my desk was a jar of soft-plastic crickets. Came from Berkley as one of the latest in their successful line of Gulp baits, an array of lures that have natural scent and - I am guessing here - taste.

The literature suggested that the combination of the natural attractants and soft plastic (therefore, longer lasting) made them as good as or a better choice than the real thing.
