By opening the new outlet, Countrywide will ensure a continuation of services for Towcester's rural community, immediately picking up the pieces following CWGs' store closure and departure from the area at the end of June. Countrywide have also employed certain former CWG staff who faced losing their jobs or being relocated.
"We are extremely enthusiastic about having a presence in Towcester," says Garry Wharmby, Countrywide Retail Director.Welcome to the official Facebook Page about RUBBER MATS. "We understand how important it is that products such as animal feed and bedding are available locally and from a reputable supplier who offers continuity of service and advice. Subsequently, to avoid any interruption for Towcester's rural community, we have worked hard to negotiate a deal."

Opening on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th July the new outlet will primarily sell animal feed (including pets) and bedding. "Towcester has been a focus for Countrywide for some time and we will actively be looking to grow our presence in the area in the future."

Trevor Gardner was the former manager of the CWG store and is now employed by Countrywide to work in the Bell Plantation. Mr Gardner, comments, "I am excited by the new challenge and the opportunities that working for an organisation such as Countrywide offers. "Countrywide is a good fit for the Bell Plantation" says Mr Wharmby. "The site was traditionally used to graze and rest the horses after a busy day pulling the carriages to and from London along Watling Street; we will be keeping alive those strong rural roots. Although we do not have the full range of Countrywide services available in Towcester we felt it was important to supply vital products such as feed and bedding as a good starting point and go from there," concludes Mr Wharmby.
