He remains in the county jail

A 29-year-old borough man remains in the Monmouth County Jail after being charged with burglarizing a liquor store early Wednesday morning and threatening police and his grandfather, with whom he lived.

He was charged with stealing a $25 bottle of Jim Beam whiskey, burglary, criminal trespass and mischief, four counts of terroristic threats, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, obstruction, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly screaming obscenities along East Highland and First avenues at the time of his arrest.

He remains in the county jail, in Freehold Township, in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The Tinton Falls K-9 unit provided mutual aid at the scene, Stone said.
